At the current time, by state regulations gatherings cannot exceed 25% of occupancy in the Cathedral at any time. This amounts to approximately 225 individuals. As long as we keep within this limit, we are able, however, to celebrate weddings, funerals and baptisms in the cathedral

Group baptisms may be scheduled again at this time. Please note that we are limited to the number of babies and family members attending each service to keep at 25% capacity. Please call the rectory to arrange a baptism interview and obtain our schedule of available dates.

Weddings have resumed at St. Agnes. For new inquiries, the bride or groom only should contact the rectory to arrange a meeting with one of our priests.

During these difficult times we are doing our best to minister to those who mourn.  Throughout this time of restriction, the priests have continued to be present in any way that they can, such as giving the funeral procession a blessing at the Cathedral the morning the family is going to the cemetery, or by offering prayers at the grave site. We received word on May 21st that we are now permitted to have funeral Masses. Such a Mass, however, is limited to 25% of capacity and this regulation needs to be strictly adhered to. We cannot allow any more than this number in the Cathedral. Funeral Home Directors can guide families regarding arrangements. If a loved one is near death, or in the event of an emergency, please call the rectory emergency number at 366-8128 to speak to a priest right away.

Please note that should a family wish to have a funeral mass for a loved one celebrated at a later date when restrictions are further lifted, arrangements can be easily done through the rectory office.

Please call the rectory at (516) 766-0205 for further information on arranging a wedding, funeral or baptism.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available Saturday, Eve of Holy Day, and Eve of First Friday from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m.

Monday Evening following 7:30 p.m. Mass.

Wednesday Morning following the 7:45 a.m. Mass and the 12:10 p.m. Mass.

Please keep social distancing in mind if there is a line for confession.
