Dear Parishioners:
As we begin the Easter Triduum this evening with the Liturgy of the Last Supper, please know that I am holding you and your loved ones in prayer. I am hopeful that the following items will help us in these coming days to grow as individuals, as a parish and as God’s People:
1.      The incredibly rich liturgies of these days are being carried live from St. Agnes through the Catholic Faith Network. Our parish website (http://www.stagnescathedral.org/) has a complete listing of times and ways to access to the broadcast.
2.      We recently invited our parish community to celebrate Easter by displaying a picture of the Victorious Lamb in their windows or on their front doors (The picture is available to download from our parish website www.stagnescathedral.org and is also in our Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday bulletins). Help us join together virtually, by taking a photo of yourself/your family in front of the picture and sending to us to share with our St. Agnes parish family. If you use Facebook, mention/tag us ("Parish of St. Agnes Cathedral") in your post or email your photos to parishoffice@stagnescathedral.org. We will compile the photos into a montage for all to see on our Facebook page, website and bulletin.
3.      Saint Agnes Parish Outreach and its Saint Vincent DePaul Society are here to support the parishioners of St. Agnes and the Rockville Centre Community during this global pandemic. Our desire is to serve the individual needs of our parishioners and community as best we can. Please spread this message to any neighbor that is struggling. Have them call Saint Agnes Rectory at 766-0205 ext. 256 or email us at ParishOffice@stagnescathedral.org.
4.      On Good Friday, Bishop Gomez, the President of the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops invites all the faithful to pray at 12 noon (EST) a Litany to the Sacred Heart. A link to this litany can be found at: https://lacatholics.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Litany-of-the-Sacred-Heart-English.pdf. The prayer will also be live streamed on FACEBOOK facebook.com/usccb or at https://lacatholics.org/sacred-heart/
5.      Virtual Night Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours continues at 8:30 PM for those who would like to join with others in praying this prayer of the Church. If you would like to join this prayer by computer with speakers CLICK HERE FOR NIGHT PRAYER GATHERING or by telephone, call  1-929- 205-6099 and enter the Meeting ID: 686 946 039.
6.      On Monday, April 11th, our “telephone rosary” will continue to be prayed at 9 AM.  One can join 50 to 60 other parishioners and friends by simply calling (978) 990-5000 and entering access code of 751583#.
7.      On Easter Sunday, we will be joining, as a sign of Easter hope, other churches throughout the United States in ringing the Church bell at 12 noon.
8.      In these challenging times, special gratitude is expressed to those who are able to support St. Agnes Cathedral Parish. While we are ever aware of the financial pressures of the current situation, we are also tremendously grateful for the monetary help that those who are able to give can provide us with. Please know that one can give electronically through Faith Direct for a one-time gift (https://membership.faithdirect.net/givenow/NY239/14147)
or for present and future gifts (https://membership.faithdirect.net/enroll/NY239/108).
In addition to using the U.S. mail, a gift can also be put through the mail slot in the rectory door. (Out of security concerns we are unable to leave a donation box in the cathedral.) Regardless, however, of the financial support that one can give, we ask for your continued prayers. As we have in the past, by coming together we will overcome our present challenges.
9.      And lastly, out of safety concerns, the regular clothing pickup from the St. Vincent de Paul boxes in the back of the cathedral has been suspended. You are asked to delay dropping off clothes at these boxes until further notice.
As we enter these most sacred days for us as Church, let us pray for each and all who are facing the great challenges of these time.

With prayers,
Rev. Msgr. William E. Koenig
